10 Pioneering Projects Rolled out Within First Round of FOZDEAL During "Made in Qatar" Exhibition

Doha, December 02 (QNA) - The final day of the "Made in Qatar" Exhibition witnessed the conclusion of FOZDEAL which is organized by nine Dots group in collaboration with Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event saw the participation of 10 Qatari outstanding projects which garnered the attention of attendees who competed for FOZDEAL award. The event witnessed great competition between projects to present their ideas. During the event the new website of the FOZDEAL Forum was launched, which will be an investment platform supporting Qatari projects and a hub for investors wishing to invest in Qatar. Dr. Mahjouba Dawoud won the FOZDEAL Award, as chosen by the jury, for her project, the Qatari camel meat preservation factory, which develops traditional methods of preserving camel meat after intense competition with various Qatari projects. To mark the conclusion of the event, Member of the Qatar Chamber Board of Directors at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed, expressed his gratitude for the high turnout from the young people who attended the event, along with investors and entrepreneurs who came to learn about the projects. The participants presented inspirational and outstanding projects which underscored that young generation could lead the labor market, emphasizing that the Qatari economy is pivoting towards a substantial diversity that keeps up with the global evolution in making new projects, particularity the technological ones. He praised this success hoping that this edition will be the onset of upcoming successes. Commenting on this occasion, CEO of Nine Dots Group, Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al Ishaq, said his group has been keen to have a supportive project for the Qatari emerging projects, along with its contribution to driving the development and economy in Qatar. He added that the high turnout from the attendants which exceeded the expectations was a testament to the desire of investors and entrepreneurs to explore outstanding opportunities and new projects to supply the Qatari economy. There will be additional upcoming editions at the local and international levels, and there is more than one offer to host FOZDEAL in sisterly countries which is currently under consideration, Al Ishaq said. The meeting began with a presentation of the first project "Wqtah" application" which specializes in providing services for booking recreational activities and spaces in Qatar, where CEO of the project, Mohammed Al Sulaiti, gave an overview of it and its expansion plans outside Qatar, and offered investors the possibility of investing in the project by purchasing a specific share of it. As for the second presentation, it was an application project (Khayyat) which leverages the Artificial Intelligence (AI) to take accurate measurements of the body, and then the user chooses the shape of the design, the type of fabric and its color, and within a week the suit arrives completely to the customer. The application provides solutions to save time and effort on the customer and supplier. It also supports the operation of Qatari factories by using them in the application as a supplier. The third project was the creation of plan click website presented by Musab Muhammad, and it was a platform that leverages AI to carry out feasibility study work. Musab presented the idea in a simplified way to the audience and explained the application and how it can facilitate the work of many who wish to obtain feasibility studies. He presented his offer to investors to invest in the inception stage with the team that created the site which had previously won distinguished awards for this site in previous hackathons in which it participated.
The fourth project and winner of the FOZDEAL award was a project presented by Dr. Mahjouba Dawoud, who resides in Qatar. Her project was an integrated camel meat processing unit consisting of several parts, including a unit for cutting and canning fresh camel meat and displaying it in commercial stores, whether fresh or frozen, due to its lack of availability in major commercial markets, and a unit for drying and canning camel meat, a unit for canning camel milk, in addition to a unit for by-products that can be obtained from camels, where all camels from skin to bone, in addition to meat and fat, can be used to extract cosmetic and therapeutic products from camels. The fifth project was titled oven lavin, created by Safiya Al Shaib, which is a training institute and production center specializing in distinct types of bread. The sixth project was a Qatari central kitchen project that includes a group of brands under one roof. The kitchen is provided for those wishing to invest in the field of restaurants. Hospitality is the opportunity to establish their project for less than 80 percent of the normal costs and effort and gives them the opportunity to cooperate with a distinguished group of restaurants and joint projects in the kitchen, at a cost not exceeding QR 200,000. The seventh project was presented by Abdulaziz Al Hajri and consisted of two projects in converting hydrogen energy into other uses. The first project was a generator powered by hydrogen or solar energy that could be used as an alternative to the regular gas cylinder for cooking work and lighting fires in a healthy and less expensive manner than gas. While the project was the second is an iron welding device that runs on hydrogen energy and is completely safe for its users in addition to using clean energy. Abdulaziz explained his idea of establishing a factory that would export this technology abroad, as the size of the required investment ranges from about USD 1.5 million. The eighth project was presented by Fathia Al Kharusiyya, which is an application for rapid intervention and emergencies in Qatar. This application enables all groups, especially those with disabilities, to have effective and rapid access to emergency services of all kinds and facilitates the process of assisting those in need in emergencies via direct call technology, video, text message, or even sending the website, she confirmed. Her desire for a specialized government agency to adopt the project for humanitarian uses before the commercial aspect, notwithstanding the fact that the project idea is financially profitable. As for the ninth project, it was presented by Tarfa Saad Al Zaraa, and it was a diverse commercial center that embraces Qatari projects that produce materials that do not have an expiration date, so that it provides a display platform for all projects at nominal costs and helps them in the process of managing sales, inventory, and marketing, which encourages small and home-based projects to enter the market. It has minimal risk and subsequent expansion based on recorded sales volume. The last and tenth project, presented by Salem Mohammed. It was a Qatari factory specializing in plastic recycling and manufacturing various products used in the Qatari environment that are sustainable, such as a gypsum alternative, an interlock alternative, and a brick alternative, in addition to the fact that the company offers courses in plastic recycling to schools as a form of spreading awareness of preserving the environment.
