Qatar's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Participates in G77 and China Summit

Dubai, December 02 (QNA) - HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Thani participated in the G77 and China Summit which was held within the activities of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. On the sidelines of his participation in COP 28, His Excellency visited the pavilion of the State of Qatar in the accompanying exhibition. During the visit, His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation of the pavilion's equipment and the role it plays during the conference, aiming to highlight Qatar's efforts in climate change issues and review the country's experiences in relying on modern technology to achieve sustainable development and reduce emissions. The delegation of the State of Qatar in COP28 includes the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in addition to various state agencies. This participation aims to enrich the scientific and technical discussion sessions during the conference and to present the most prominent national efforts of the State of Qatar in climate change issues as well as national experiences in relying on modern technology to achieve sustainable development and reduce emissions.
