RAJABOV DRAWS WITH SHIROV
Baku, June23 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani chess grandmaster Teymur Rajabov has been held to a draw by Spaniard Alexei Shirov in the eighth round of an international tournament in Bazna, Romania, increasing his points to 4.5.
The day`s other results are as follows: Gata Kamsky 0.5-0.5 Dieter Nisipeanu, Boris Gelfand 0.5-0.5 Vassily Ivanchuk.
After eight rounds, Ivanchuk leads the table with 6 points, Gelfand has 5 points, Shirov 4 points, Nisipeanu 2.5 points and Kamsky scored 2 points.
