HM King attends UAE's 52nd Union Day official celebration

Dubai, Dec. 2 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has attended, alongside His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, and Their Highnesses Members of the UAE Federal Supreme Council, the official celebration of the 52nd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates, held at Expo City Dubai, today.

Leaders, heads of government and representatives of countries participating in the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), currently held in Dubai, UAE, were also present.  

On the occasion, HM King Hamad expressed utmost congratulations to UAE President, Vice-President, members of the UAE Federal Supreme Council and the brotherly Emirati people on their National Day.

HM the King affirmed that since the first years of its founding, and thanks to the sound policies and efforts of the late His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah the Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace, the UAE has achieved major strides in the political, economic, developmental, scientific, cultural and educational fields, becoming among leading and developed countries.

HM King Hamad expressed his deepest pride in the landmark cultural and development achievements that the UAE continues to attain, citing the manifestations of the modern renaissance that it is witnessing in all fields and at various levels.

His Majesty also hailed the distinguished international reputation, as well as the global respect and appreciation the UAE enjoys thanks to the leadership of President HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

HM the King lauded the UAE’s strong regional and international presence thanks to its endeavours to establish security and stability, as well as spread peace in the region and the world, highlighting its global initiatives to promote human values of coexistence, tolerance, and cooperation among peoples, in addition to its efforts to achieve goodness, development, and prosperity for the benefit of entire humanity.

HM King Hamad lauded the robust long-standing fraternal Bahrain-UAE relations spearheaded by ancestors and forefathers, affirming that UAE enjoys a special place in the hearts of all Bahrainis.

HM the King stressed that the UAE’s honourable historical stances towards the Kingdom which will remain engraved in the memory of the Bahraini people, reflecting the solid fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.

HM King Hamad wished the UAE and its people further glory, progress and prosperity.
