HM King praises UAE’s successful COP28 organisation

Dubai, Dec. 3 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has lauded the successful organisation of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Expo City Dubai, praising the facilities provided by the host country to ensure the success of the world event.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), His Majesty valued the initiative announced by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, to establish a US$30 billion fund for global climate solutions, as well as the UAE’s investment of US$100 billion in climate action and renewable and clean energy, in addition to its commitment to investing an additional US$130 billion over the next seven years.
HM the King appreciated the UAE's pioneering initiatives, underscoring its dedication to supporting global climate action and fostering sustainable development for the good and benefit of all of humanity.
HM King Hamad expressed hope that COP28 will come up with qualitative results that will advance international climate action.
