HRH The Deputy King meets with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 5 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Alastair Long, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are based on solid foundations of cooperation spanning over 200 years.

The Deputy King noted the mutual commitment to furthering bilateral relations through mutual visits and joint agreements to achieve mutual aspirations.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the UK’s role, alongside allied countries, in consolidating international security and peace, which supports development and prosperity in the region and internationally.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the Bahrain-UK strategic partnership to enhance multisector collaboration.

During the meeting, regional and global developments, issues of common interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation were also discussed.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
