FNC Speaker receives Bahrain delegation to COP28 Parliamentary Meeting

Dubai, Dec. 5 (BNA): Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council (FNC), received Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura, on their arrival here.

The Speaker and the Chairman are heading the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Parliamentary Meeting held tomorrow as part of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).

The meeting  is a collaborative effort between the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the FNC.

The FNC Speaker welcomed Speaker Al Musallam and Chairman Al Saleh and commended the high level of the Bahraini delegation participating in the meeting, which reflects the strength of the deep-rooted relations between the kingdom and the UAE.

Speaker Gubash also commended the role of Bahraini diplomacy in highlighting national and legislative efforts in climate security and consolidating joint GCC action.
