HM King returns to Bahrain following participation in 44th GCC Summit

Manama, Dec. 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa returned to Bahrain following a visit to the State of Qatar, where he led the kingdom’s delegation to the 44th session of the Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Supreme Council, held in Doha today.
Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, members of the royal family and senior officials.
On departing Qatar, HM the King sent a cable to His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar.
HM King Hamad expressed utmost thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Tamim for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, reflecting the depth of the solid fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples. HM the King also thanked the Amir of Qatar on his efforts while presiding over the summit.
HM the King said: "The constructive and fruitful outcomes of this summit will enhance cooperation among our countries, add to the record of GCC achievements, serve the bloc’s noble goals, and meet the aspirations of our peoples for more interconnectedness, cooperation and integration."
HM King Hamad wished HH Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad abundant health and happiness, as well as further progress and prosperity to the State of Qatar and its brotherly people.
