Bahrain Victorious athletes win gold, silver medals in IRONMAN Bahrain 2023

Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): Athletes Henri Schoeman and Kat Matthews, both from Bahrain Victorious, have shined in the seventh edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain, held in the Al-Reef Island today, with the participation of triathletes from 88 countries.
 
Schoeman was the runner-up in the Pro Men category after finishing the swimming, cycling and running racing in 3 hours, 32 minutes and 50 seconds, behind Marten Van Riel, who clinched the first place after clocking 03:31:21. Max Stapley was third, after finishing the competitions in 03:34:20.
 
On the other hand, Kat Matthews dominated the Pro Women category after finishing the races in 03:59:07, outclassing Amelia Watkinson and Caroline Pohlie who were second and third after clocking 03:59:43 and 04:00:17, respectively.
 
Team KHK from Bahrain clinched the first place of the Relay Teams competitions for men, while TFT team won those of women.
 
The organising committee of IRONMAN Bahrain 2023 lauded the success of all races, congratulating the winners and thanking all the participants for their distinguished performance.
