Razji pins reflect Bahraini people's respect for fallen heroes

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): The white Razji flower has been associated with the kingdom's Commemoration Day anniversary, marked every December 17.
Bahrainis are keen to wear the Razji pin on December 9-17 as a tribute to the late servicemen who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation's security and stability. Their sacrifices will remain engraved in the hearts and minds of all Bahrainis, as they represent a source of inspiration for the young generation regarding their endless giving to ensure that the nation and its citizens enjoy security, and that the kingdom's progress and prosperity march continues.
The design of the Razji flower, which is a pin consisting of a white jasmine flower and a green palm frond, has many implications. The white colour is a symbol of peace, which is a fundamental approach adopted by the kingdom, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
As for the palm frond, it is not only a symbol of peace, but also embodies the value of selfless giving derived from palm trees as an endless source of goodness and development.
The floral pin, made of cloth or metal, is placed on the left side of the chest near the heart, which indicates everyone's love for the nation's fallen servicemen and their keenness to ensure that their memory remains forever present in their hearts, as sources of pride, out of the conviction that they are alive, in accordance with what Allah the Almighty Says in the Holy Quran (Surah Al-Imran Ayat 169-170): "And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."
At the beginning of December every year, the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen announces the provision of "Al-Razji" pin for sale to the citizens and residents at venues across the kingdom's governorates. Official and public bodies, in addition to students and various social groups are keen to buy the pin, out of their desire to remember and preserve the memory of the nation’s valiant fallen servicemen in appreciation of their contributions and the sacrifices they had made while defending the nation’s security and stability.
In 2015, HM the King issued a decree designating December 17 as a Commemoration Day, to be an annual occasion to pay tribute to the Kingdom's fallen heroes, as a token of gratitude to the sacrifices, giving, and efforts of the members of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard, who lost their lives while performing their sacred patriotic duties in Bahrain and abroad.
The kingdom marks the annual Commemoration Day in conjunction with its celebration of its National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab, Muslim state founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.
This confirms the kingdom's keenness to ensure that the glorious national days are opportunities not only for celebrating the national achievements, but also recalling the sacrifices of its fallen heroes, whose patriotism will remain engraved in the national memory.
The fallen servicemen's "Al-Razji" flower represents an iconic symbol on Bahrain's Commemoration Day. It embodies many noble human values that reflect the true mettle of Bahraini citizens who are grateful and faithful to those who sacrificed their lives while defending the homeland's security and peace, in addition to its stances in defending rights and just causes, as well as protecting the Arab and Islamic nations and humanity as a whole.
