PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES SERBIAN FOREIGN MINISTER VUK JEREMIC
Baku, June 23 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic and his accompanying delegation.
The Head of State expressed his satisfaction with successful development of Azerbaijan-Serbia bilateral relations. President Ilham Aliyev said both countries would continue to support each other within international organizations. Azerbaijani leader noted there is the need for rapid development of bilateral ties, adding Serbian Foreign Minister`s visit will be an important step in this direction. President Aliyev pointed out there is good potential for development of Serbia-Azerbaijan relationship. According to Mr. Ilham Aliyev, strong reciprocal support within international organizations lay groundwork for closer cooperation. The Head of State noted concrete steps will be taken to outline areas for cooperation in not only the political but also economic, cultural fields.
On the talks in the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Serbian FM said “we came to a decision on the need to expand successfully developing relations in the political field”. Jeremic noted he had a conversation with Serbian President prior to the Azerbaijan visit, adding Serbian leadership is keen on developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan as well as international cooperation.
Minister expressed assurance that relationship would continue to develop.
