ASTANA TO HOST NATO PA`s 3RD EURO-ATLANTIC PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL SECURITY FORUM AND 71ST ROSE-ROTH SEMINAR
Baku, June 23 (AzerTAc). The NATO Parliamentary Assembly will organize the third Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council Security Forum and 71st Rose-Roth Seminar in Astana, Kazakhstan on 24-26 June.
The event to be chaired by NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will bring together high level representatives from the Alliance and Partner countries.
The Forum participants will discuss cooperation in the Caspian and Black Sea regions, security challenges in Caucasus, the situation in Afghanistan and other issues.
The Rose-Roth Seminar will focus on three issues: the democratic development of Central Asian countries; the economic challenges of the region; the environmental problems, including water issues, soil degradation, industrial pollution and the legacy of the Soviet WMD complex.
Azerbaijan will be represented at the event by Milli Majlis first vice-speaker, head of the parliamentary delegation to the NATO PA Ziyafat Asgarov and MP Jala Aliyeva.
They will deliver speeches during the events.
