Saudi Vice Foreign Minister Participates in Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum

Marrakech, December 21, 2023, SPA -- On behalf of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi minister of foreign affairs, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji participated Wednesday in the sixth session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum in the city of Marrakech, Morocco.
Eng. El-Khereiji delivered a speech in which he affirmed the depth of Arab-Russian relations and the importance of working to develop them to achieve the common interests of all. He also addressed Arab issues and emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts to find appropriate solutions.
Attendees discussed developments in the perilous situation in Gaza and its surroundings, along with efforts to achieve a ceasefire that ensures full protection of innocent civilians.
They emphasized the importance of securing safe passage for the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and to halt the forced displacement of the Gaza Strip's residents.
Several other regional and international issues of mutual concern were deliberated.
The attendees also reviewed the outcomes of the fifth session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and concerted efforts for regional and international issues.
They underscored the significance of ceasing hostilities to preserve international peace and security.
