GCC Secretary General: We Hope That the Approved Adoption of the Set of Measures by the Concerned Parties will Contribute to a Comprehensive Solution that Brings Prosperity, Security and Stability in Yemen
Riyadh, December 24, 2023, SPA-- The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, welcomed the set of measures reached by the concerned parties in the Republic of Yemen yesterday, which include implementing a ceasefire across Yemen, measures to improve living conditions in Yemen, and engaging in preparations to resume an inclusive political process under the patronage of the United Nations (UN).
Albudaiwi expressed hope that these measures would contribute to a comprehensive political solution that would bring prosperity, security and stability to the Yemeni people, stressing the need to continue making efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Yemen and to support the efforts of the Yemeni people towards formulating a map for the future to restore the country's stability, development and prosperity in order to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people.
He also expressed gratitude for the great and valuable efforts made by the UN, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, which contributed to reaching these crucial measures on time. He also pointed out the need for all Yemeni parties to commit to implementing these measures to achieve positive results for the situation in Yemen.
