Interior Minister Holds Official Talks with His Qatari Counterpart

Riyadh, December 25, 2023, SPA -- The Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, held official talks with the Qatari Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani today at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
This meeting aligns with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in light of the historical relations that bind the two countries.
Prince Abdulaziz reaffirmed that the security initiatives and objectives, as agreed upon during the seventh meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, reflect the commitment of both countries' leadership to fortify cooperation and collaborative efforts.
In the session, both sides deliberated on augmenting security cooperation between their respective ministries. Subsequent to the discussion, the two ministers participated in the signing of an action plan for a project aimed at streamlining the movement of passengers through the two land ports, specifically the Saudi Salwa and Qatari Abu Samra checkpoints.
