Yemeni-Syrian technical committee to meet in Damascus

SANA'A, June 23 (Saba)- The Yemeni- Syrian Joint Technical Committee
will meet on Wednesday in Damascus to prepare for the meetings of
9th round of the Yemeni-Syrian Joint Higher Committee which will
meet next Saturday.

In a statement to Saba, Chairman of the Yemeni side in the Joint
Technical Committee Hisham Sharaf, said, upon his departure from
Sana'a, that theTechnical Committee will focus on economic and
development issues that would contribute to strengthen economic
relations between Yemen and Syria to meet aspirations of the peoples
in the two countries.

He added that he will discuss important topics of bilateral
cooperation in the field of transport, indicating that work is under
way between Yemen, Syria and Jordan for the establishment of
maritime transport which will contribute to developing trade export
between the two countries.
