Supported by KSrelief, Prosthetics Center in Marib, Yemen Provides Services to 375 Beneficiaries in November

Marib, Yemen, December 30, 2023, SPA -- The project of operating the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Marib Governorate, Yemen, provided its various medical services to 375 beneficiaries who lost limbs during November 2023, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
During the project, 2,121 services were provided; the percentage of males reached 70% and the percentage of females 30%, while the percentage of displaced persons constituted 84% and residents 16% of the total beneficiaries.
Artificial limbs and prosthetics were measured, manufactured, fitted, delivered and maintained for 82 patients. Furthermore, rehabilitation and physiotherapy services, including specialized consultations, benefited 293 patients.
This service comes as an extension of the humanitarian and relief projects, represented by the KSrelief, to raise the capabilities of the health sector and try to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly people in Yemen.
