‘US WILL HELP GENERATE PROGRESS TOWARD A SETTLEMENT OF THE NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT BASED ON NORMS OF INTERNATIONAL LAW’
Tovuz, 24 June (AzerTAc). The United States will always support Azerbaijan to develop as an independent state and help generate progress toward a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on norms of international law, said the U.S. Ambassador Anne Derse while visiting the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan, 420 kilometers from Baku.
Anne Derse met there with local officials, including governor Tofig Zeynalov.
Zeynalov briefed the US diplomat on the region`s economy and infrastructure.
The ambassador also visited some cultural centers, museums, schools of folk music and private companies in Tovuz.
Derse was presented saz, a traditional and ancient musical instrument.
