TOP PETKIM OFFICIAL VISITS AZERKIMYA

Baku, June 24 (AzerTAc). Vice General Manager of the Turkish petrochemical firm, Petkim, Bulent Sunay, has visited Azerkimya state company where he met its president Majid Karimov.
They discussed prospects for boosting cooperation between the two companies.
Karimov highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements in oil and gas industry, praising the role of the country`s leadership in this regard.
“It was President Ilham Aliyev`s successful policy that ensured progress for the country not only in the energy sector but also in the non-oil sectors of the economy,” he said.
“Azerkimya has also been part of this progress. Expansion of production fields, application of new technologies and manufacture of high quality products is a vivid evidence of this.”
“Today the company sells its products to more than 30 countries,” said Majidov, adding “we plan to strengthen our positions in the world markets”.
Saray said there are good prospects for enhancing cooperation between Azerkimya and Petkim.
Azerkimya is Azerbaijan`s largest producer of petrochemical products and fertilizers not only in the region but also in the whole CIS area.
Specializing in petrochemical manufacturing, Petkim produces ethylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene and other chemical building blocks for use in the manufacuture of plastics, textiles and other consumer and industrial products. The company has 14 manufacturing plants supplying a significant portion of petrochemicals used in Turkey. The company also exports products to the United States and countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
