Speaker receives Turkish counterpart

Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, welcomed Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, upon arrival here today on an official visit to Bahrain. 

During the visit, Numan Kurtulmuş and his accompanying delegation will hold a joint parliamentary discussion session to discuss ways to enhance bilateral parliamentary cooperation for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.  

The visit of the Turkish delegation reflects the historical relations between Bahrain and Türkiye, as well as the care they enjoy from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President, in addition to the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.  

Council of Representatives’ First Deputy Speaker, Abdulnabi Salman, and Second Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Abdel Wahed Qarata, in addition to Esen Çakıl, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and several MPs also welcomed the Turkish delegation.
