Bahrain strongly condemns terrorist attack on US troops near Jordanian-Syrian borders

Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned, in the strongest terms, the terrorist attack that took place near the Jordanian-Syrian borders, killing three and injuring several others from the US troops which are cooperating with the Jordanian Armed Forces in combating terrorism and cross-border smuggling of weapons and drugs.

In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for its ongoing anti-terror efforts to preserve its security and stability, as well as secure its borders, in cooperation with the United States of America.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry extended its profound condolences and sympathy to the US government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to those wounded as a result of the heinous terrorist attack.

The Ministry reiterated the kingdom’s principled stance against terrorism in all its forms and extremist organisations. It also emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to backing international efforts aimed at eliminating the scourge of terrorism and eliminating its threats.
