US AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH NGO REPS IN TOVUZ
Tovuz, June 25 (AzerTAc). As part of her Tovuz trip, US ambassador Anne Derse met with representatives of NGOs from Tovuz, Gazakh, Agstafa, Shamkir and Gadabay at the Regional Information Center.
Present at the meeting were us embassy`s officer Rob Garverick and USAID country coordinator Scott Taylor.
US ambassador and Tovuz governor Tofig Zeynalov visited the Alibeyli and Agdam villages bordering Armenia.
Intense fire from Armenian positions wounded a school teacher and destroyed a house.
In the meetings with villagers, ambassador said US would help solve Nagorno-Karabakh problem on the basis of international law.
Ambassador was also curious about the archeological excavations in the Goytepe area.
