Bahrain, Saudi Arabia discuss cooperation in digital government

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), received Ahmed Mohammed Al Suwaiyan, Saudi Governor and Board Member of the Digital Government Authority (DGA).
The meeting discussed cooperation between the two kingdoms in the digital government sector.
The CEO praised the historic Bahraini-Saudi relations, affirming the importance of exchanging expertise and successful digital experiences in broadening the benefits at the GCC level.
The meeting also reviewed iGA’s projects and initiatives in digital transformation that were launched to fulfill the visions of the government and implement the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT).
The two sides agreed on bilateral projects and formed technical working teams to implement them.
Al Qaed expressed his appreciation to the Saudi Governor for his interest in the digital initiatives and projects implemented by Bahrain, reiterating the importance of cooperation and its impact in facilitating services for the two kingdoms’ peoples.
