HM King receives Yasser Mahmoud Abbas

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Yasser Mahmoud Abbas, the son of His Excellency the President of the State of Palestine, at Al Safriya Palace.

Abbas conveyed a verbal message from HE the President of the State of Palestine, regarding the Bahraini-Palestinian relations and recent developments in Palestine.

HM the King affirmed Bahrain's support for the Palestinian cause and all efforts aiming to achieve a just, permeant, comprehensive peace in the region, and to guarantee the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in accordance with the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions; to promote prosperity, stability, and peace for all nations in the region.

His Majesty welcomed Yasser Mahmoud Abbas and relayed his greetings to HE Mahmoud Abbas, and wishes to the people of Palestine for peace and stability.

Abbas conveyed greetings and appreciation from HE the President of the State of Palestine to HM the King, and expressed sincere wishes for the prosperity and progress of Bahrain and its people.

Abbas commended His Majesty the King’s humanitarian stances in support of the Palestinian people, and Bahrain’s stances in support of legitimate national rights of Palestinians.
