Interior Minister receives US Fifth Fleet Commander

Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Vice Admiral Charles B. Cooper II, Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, Commander of the United States Fifth Fleet (C5F), marking the end of his tenure.

Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The minister praised the strategic Bahrain-US relations and affirmed the importance of reinforcing security cooperation and exchanging expertise.
