Arab Parliament Affirms Leading Role of Arab Women in the Renaissance of Societies

Cairo, February 01, 2024, SPA -- Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi affirmed the importance of the Arab women's leading role in the renaissance of their societies in all fields by their assumption of senior and leadership positions that support the development process and achieve sustainable development in Arab societies, according to a statement released by the parliament today on Arab Women's Day, annually marked on February 1.
Al-Asoomi pointed out the need to develop legislation that supports Arab women to perform their mission and vital role and preserve their rights in a world that is full of complicated challenges that affect their role, especially in light of the difficult conditions that women are currently confronting in areas of wars and armed conflicts.
He highly commended the Palestinian women's sacrifices as an icon of struggle and that the international community should rally its efforts to save women in Gaza.
