SCER chairman invited to monitor presidential Indonesian election

SANA'A, June 24 (Saba) - Chairman of Supreme Commission for
Elections and Referendum (SCER) Khaled al-Shareif received here on
Wednesday an invitation to monitor Indonesian presidential election
to be held on July 8th.

The invitation, which is from the Indonesian Election Commission,
was handed over by the Indonesian ambassador to Sana'a Nour al-Awlia.

The two officials discussed aspects of mutual cooperation between
the two countries in the field of election and democracy.

Al-Shareif accepted the invitation as it is an opportunity to get
acquainted with the Indonesian electoral experience, affirming SCER
keenness on exchanging experiences and taking advantage from the
experiences of other friendly countries in managing and organizing
elections.
