Kuwait, Feb. 3 (BNA): Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), met His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Board of Trustees Chairman of the Al-Quds Empowerment Fund.

Dr. Al Sayed conveyed greetings and appreciation from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minster, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to HRH Prince Turki bin Faisal, as well as their wishes of success to the Al-Quds Empowerment Fund in achieving its noble humanitarian goals of empowering the Palestinians in Jerusalem.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Quds Empowerment Fund, hosted by the State of Kuwait.

HRH Prince Turki bin Faisal commended HM King Hamad’s efforts to support the Palestinians during the difficult humanitarian circumstances they are going through, praising the development and humanitarian projects provided by the Kingdom’s leadership, government and people to serve the Palestinians.

The meeting also focused on the arrangements for HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal’s visit to Bahrain to meet HM King Hamad and brief him about the goals of the Al-Quds Empowerment Fund.

The two sides discussed the Al-Quds Empowerment and Sustainability Programme, as well as the package of projects that were approved to support and empower the city of Jerusalem, stressing that the Fund aims to develop the financial resources and create a financing mechanism to contribute to supporting community development projects for the Palestinians in Jerusalem, by financing development programmes and projects.

The Al-Quds Empowerment Fund’s Board of Trustees comprises representatives of development organisations and chambers of commerce, in addition to businessmen from many Arab countries, which contributes to establishing a partnership between NGOs and governments in developing the resources of the Fund.
