SCIA President meets Al Azhar Grand Imam

Abu Dhabi, Feb. 10 (BNA): Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) President, met with His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam Sheikh of Al Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. 

 Shaikh Abdulrahman conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to His Eminence Dr. Al Tayeb and they appreciation of his efforts to promote the noble values and principles of Islam. 

 SCIA President emphasised the importance of Al Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders, led by His Eminence, in promoting tolerance, virtue, moderation, defending principles and values, and adapting to era-specific needs. His Eminence commended Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in supporting and promoting the values of coexistence, moderation, and unity among Muslims. 

 He expressed pride in the deep-rooted historical ties between Bahrain and Al Azhar and commended the SCIA's role in promoting values.
