HM King welcomes Kuwaiti Amir upon arrival to Bahrain

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, upon arrival in Bahrain on a state visit.
HH the Kuwaiti Amir was also welcomed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court.
HH Shaikh Mishal was greeted by senior Bahraini officials, while HM King Hamad was greeted by members of the Kuwaiti official delegation.
The motorcade of His Majesty the King and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait then headed to Al Sakhir Palace, accompanied by a group of cavalry. Students from the Ministry of Education's schools saluted the kingdom's distinguished guest. A Bahraini Ardha show was performed to celebrate his visit.
An official welcoming ceremony was held for the Kuwaiti Amir at the Al Sakhir Palace, where the national anthems of the two countries were played, and a 21-gun salute was fired in honour of the kingdom’s guest.
An Escort of Honour, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, was formed.
The Amiri plane was accompanied by a squadron of the Royal Bahraini Air Force upon its entry into Bahraini airspace.
HH Amir of Kuwait was accompanied by Sheikh Ali Khalifa Al Athbi Al Sabah, Sheikh Ali Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Sheikh Khalifa Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al Salem Al Humoud Al Sabah, Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Sabah Al Nasser Al Sabah, Sheikh Fawaz Saud Al Nasser Al Saud Al Sabah, and senior officials of the Amiri Diwan.
