Commander-in-Chief receives Emirati Defense Minister

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), received Mohamed bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs and member of the UAE Cabinet.
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander; Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander; Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs, attended the meeting.
The UAE minister conveyed the condolences of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, and Minister of Defense, to the commander-in-chief and the relatives of the fallen serviceman Major Abdullah Rashid Al Noaimi, who lost his life while performing training missions with the UAE Armed Forces in Somalia.
The commander-in-chief expressed his sincere condolences to the President of the UAE and the Vice President and the Defense Minister on the loss of several servicemen of the UAE Armed Forces, praying to Allah Almighty to rest their souls in eternal peace and wishing a speedy recovery for those injured.
He hailed the strong longstanding Bahraini-Emirati relations that were consolidated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and President HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Several senior officers of the BDF attended the meeting.
