Saudi Minister of Commerce Explores Cooperation Potential with University of California
Berkeley, USA, February 14, 2024, SPA – Saudi Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC) Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi yesterday visited the AMENA Center for Entrepreneurship and Development at the University of California, Berkeley, USA to explore cooperation opportunities that would help boost the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness.
They also discussed establishing an innovation economics laboratory, in collaboration with Silicon Valley, focusing on digital trade and fostering business growth in new areas.
He said that collaboration with major international institutions contributes to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals and empowering businesses.
Collaboration with the University of California, he said, is bound to enhance the Kingdom's competitiveness and foster a sustainable economy through capacity building, knowledge and expertise exchange, consultations, joint workshops and seminars, and promoting innovation.
The University of California is globally renowned as one of the oldest and most prestigious public education institutions, particularly in the field of research and science.
