Oil Minister receives British Ambassador, Cefas delegation

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Alastair Long, British Ambassador to Bahrain and members of the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas).
The minister affirmed the strong Bahraini-British relations, noting the keenness to enhance cooperation in the environmental field and marine life.
Dr. Bin Daina highlighted the continuous cooperation with Cefas, through conducting surveys, analysis and evaluation of the quality of the marine environment.
He also praised the scientific articles published by Cefas on the quality of the marine environment.
The meeting discussed environmental topics and the UK’s findings in current environmental fields, which are correlated with the direction of global environmental agreements, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation towards achieving carbon neutrality and increasing natural environments for carbon removal.
