Municipalities Ministry wins Kuwait Creativity Award in social responsibility

Kuwait, Feb. 14 (BNA): The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture won first place in the Social Responsibility category of the 11th Kuwait Creativity Award 2024 for its participation, under the title "Creativity in Social Responsibility in Municipal and Agricultural Work in the Kingdom of Bahrain (Forestation Plan as a Model)."
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry Undersecretary, received the award in a ceremony held in Kuwait.
Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, affirmed that the ministry’s win reflects the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He noted that Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, is keen on following up on developmental plans and projects, including afforestation efforts.
The minister praised the efforts of the ministry’s employees, who work diligently to achieve the ministry’s goals, and highlighted Bahrain’s position in this field.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed affirmed that this win reflects the ministry’s efforts in developing municipal and agricultural work, which contribute to achieving the comprehensive development process, led by HM the King and supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The win is also consistent with the objectives of the national campaign for afforestation "Forever Green", which contribute to Bahrain’s commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2060 to adapt to climate change and protect the environment and its resources.
