MoFA holds roundtable on UK's ETA

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a Roundtable on Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).
Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Ali Bahzad, Under-Secretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, and representatives from the British Home Office and the UK Embassy to Bahrain, were present.
Dr. Bahzad affirmed the longstanding Bahrain-UK relations and the mutual keenness to promote cooperation in various sectors.
The British delegation thanked the ministry for the opportunity to discuss this initiative with all parties concerned with the kingdom.
The British delegation gave a brief presentation on ETA, which is one of the initiatives of the digital transformation of the British government.
ETA is a cost-effective, easy-to-use process where applicants upload a face image and answer a few questions on a website or app provided by the British government. It takes three business days for the applicant to receive the approval.
