Saudi Arabia Officially Joins the International Coffee Organization
London, February 20, 2024, SPA -- Today, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, signed the agreement for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join the International Coffee Organization (ICO) at the organization's headquarters in London.
Prince Khalid expressed gratitude for representing the Kingdom in this significant event, emphasizing its commitment to supporting and strengthening the global coffee industry. He also highlighted the integral role of coffee in the cultural and social heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In response, ICO's Executive Director, Vanusia Nogueira, expressed gratitude for the Kingdom's accession to the agreement, emphasizing the collaborative effort to achieve common goals.
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) holds a prominent position globally, facilitating regular meetings and conferences for its members, publishing reports and statistics on the global coffee market, and spearheading projects aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and sustainability in coffee-producing countries.
