HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister visits the BIC following the commencement of the Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today visited the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) following the commencement of the Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to enhancing its competitiveness in global sports through elaborate planning, relentless efforts, and strong leadership to achieve the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness toured the teams’ pitlane and track and met with the teams, managers and drivers, wishing them luck in the upcoming Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024, which kicks off next week and serves as the opener for the 2024 Formula 1 season.
His Royal Highness highlighted the role of the BIC, "The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East", in enhancing Bahrain’s global position in the motor racing sports, noting the Kingdom’s expertise in organising international sports races and events.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister concluded by expresssing his pride in the Bahraini citizens who have worked as a team to organise the Bahrain Grand Prix at the BIC since its launch in 2004.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
