Speaker, Turkish counterpart discuss two countries' cooperation

Baku, Feb. 24 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Al Musallam affirmed the crucial role of legislative councils and parliaments in enhancing bilateral relations, strengthen bilateral coordination, and promoting joint cooperation for the benefit of peoples.

He affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Turkish relations, highlighting the care they receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye, as well as the support accorded to them by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Kurtulmuş highlighted his visit to Bahrain last month, where he was received by HM King Hamad, praising constructive outcomes of his visit.

The two sides discussed ways to bolster parliamentary cooperation between the two countries to serve common interests.
