Foreign Affairs Minister meets Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister

Geneva, Feb. 26 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Ayman Al Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, on the sidelines of the 55th session of the Human Rights Council.

The two sides affirmed the importance of historical bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation.

They also stressed the importance of continuing joint coordination at the political and diplomatic levels regarding issues and challenges facing the Arab world.

The two sides also addressed the humanitarian conditions of the civilians in Gaza and the international efforts aimed at stopping the war, providing protection for civilians and delivering humanitarian aid.

They underscored the support for the efforts aimed at achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive peace that consolidates regional security and stability.
