MoFA Undersecretary meets Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs

Cairo, Feb. 26 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, met with Ambassador Ehab Awad, Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs.

The undersecretary affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to promote cooperation with Egypt in order to serve common interests and support Egypt's vital role in enhancing security, stability and peaceful coexistence in the Middle East and around the world.

They reviewed political and economic cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

They also reviewed Arab partnership with the countries of the African Union and joint action in peacekeeping, conflict resolution and achieving sustainable development goals.

Ambassador Ahmed Al Tarifi, Chief of the Arab and African Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
