HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad honours Manama - Riyadh Challenge Team

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, met the Manama - Riyadh Challenge Youth Team. 

 

 Members of the team ran from Manama to Masmak Palace in Riyadh, for a distance of more than 400 kilometre, marking the Founding Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HH Shaikh Khalid praised the initiative, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Qadir, Abdulla Al Eid, Hamad Mufarreh Al Ajmi, Fahd Al Yahya, and Abdulla Al Damer. 

 

This initiative, showcasing the strong fraternal bonds between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, has garnered widespread attention across media platforms This initiative, highlighting the strong resolve of Bahraini youth, who are known for embracing challenges and confronting adversity, embodies the depth of relations between the two brotherly peoples, HH Shaikh Khalid said. 

 

 HH Shaikh Khalid praised the remarkable achievement of the Bahraini youth who covered 400 kilometers in five days, showcasing their determination and strong reesolve.

 

 He emphasised that the initiative reflects the deep bonds between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the exceptional effort and sacrifice made by the team to achieve their goal swiftly and with unwavering dedication. HH Shaikh Khalid stressed that the initiative underscores the Bahraini youth's passion for taking on challenges and attaining accomplishments. 

 

He commended the participants for their unwavering dedication during the arduous journey, emphasising their commitment to overcoming obstacles in the spirit of fraternity between the two nations. His Highness expressed immense joy at the safe return of the team after their challenging expedition. 

 

 His Highness honoured the organisers and participants of the Manama-Riyadh Challenge initiative, symbolising the strong fraternal ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. 

 

 This initiative, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reflects the deep-rooted relations between the two countries. 

 

 HH Shaikh Khalid praised the team's dedication and success, wishing them continued success.
