Efforts Made to Put Aquaculture on Scientific Basis

Pyongyang, February 29 (KCNA) -- The Kangwon Provincial Fishery Management Bureau in the DPRK directs big efforts to putting aquaculture on a scientific basis.
The bureau is taking measures to select proper varieties of seafood and raise the per-area output.
The Wonsan Seafood Production and Processing Station secured electronic thermometers, pH meters, salinity meters, and other necessary equipment and facilities and has conducted the mussel breeding on a sci-tech basis by introducing advanced culture method.
Similar successes have been made at other fishery stations. -0-
