Saleh meets with Indian FM

sANA'A, June 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on
Thursday the Indian Foreign Minister Shashi Tharoor along with the
accompanying delegation taking part in the 9th conference of the
League of the Countries Overlooking the Indian Ocean, currently held
in Sana'a.

During the meeting, Tharoor delivered a letter to Saleh from the
Indian President Pratihba Pratibha Devisingh Patil concerning the
bilateral relations and means of joint cooperation between the two
countries.

The letter also includes an invitation letter for Saleh to visit
India, in addition to the latest developments of concern to Yemen
and India.

During the meeting, they dealt with the mutual relations and Indian
investments in the field of oil, gas and fertilizers.

The Indian minister expressed India's desire to expand its
investments in Yemen, praising the Yemeni-Indian relations and
pointed out the importance of Saleh's future visit to India.

For his part, Saleh welcomed the Indian investments in Yemen in the
fields of gas, oil and industry.
