Oil production to be increased in three oil sectors

SANA'A, June 25 (Saba) - An oil source has expected the possibility
of increasing oil production in three sectors in the coming three
months to reduce the current shortage in some other sectors, the
state-run 26 sept.net has reported.

The possibility of increasing will be in sector 10 in Shabwah while
the production ceiling will increase from 45,000 barrels per day to
60,000 barrels per day.

The source added that the S-2 sector is still in its early years and
produces 15,000 barrels per day and it is susceptible to increase it
to 20,000 barrels per day, noting that by continuing drilling it is
expected to produce 50,000 barrels per day.

The source said that sector 9 produces currently, in one field, more
than 7,000 barrels per day and it can be risen in production ceiling
in case of connecting the three fields as well as to continue
development drilling and exploration.

A report issued indicated that sector 18 in Mareb is still carrying
great potential to find oil and gas at al-Yatamah area.

Noteworthy, the daily production of Yemeni oil reaches 284,000
barrels from 12 sectors.
