Bahrain, Brazil discuss parliamentary cooperation

Manama, Feb. 29 (BNA): Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, the First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Eduardo Bolsonaro, the Federal Deputy and President of the Bahrain-Brazil Parliamentary Group.

Fakhro affirmed the importance of exploring economic, investment, and developmental opportunities between Bahrain and other nations.

He highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing relations with global nations and building effective regional and international cooperation across economic, political, and legislative domains.

Fakhro showcased Bahrain's legislative branch's openness to the world, underscoring its contributions to the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He emphasised Bahrain's role in building relations for further economic development and trade exchange with other nations, noting the deep bilateral relations between Bahrain and Brazil across various fields.

Fakhro emphasised the keenness to exchange expertise and apply the best democratic practices with the nations, which would positively impact the quality of legislative outcomes.

The federal deputy commended Bahrain's ongoing development and achievements, acknowledging its prominent international status in human rights, democratic practices, and legislation.

He affirmed Brazil's interest in developing relations and ties with Bahrain politically, economically, and legislatively.
