Over 150 African refugees detained in Hajjah

HAJJAH, June 25 (Saba) - Around 150 African refugees have been under
arrest by security authorities at Medi Island in Hajjah province.

Interior Ministry reported on Thursday that the security authorities
made it clear that the refugees who reached the coast of the Island
coming from the Horn of Africa, pointed out that their boat was
carrying 250 refugees.

The security authorities indicated that Medi Police received
instructions to hinder the refugees of descending on the island. The
authorities ordered the refugees to come back to their countries.
