Al Rabeeah Checks on Health of Iraqi Siamese Twins Omar and Ali

Riyadh, March 02, 2024, SPA - Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), and head of the medical and surgical team for separating Siamese twins, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, visited Siamese twins Omar and Ali at the King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital of King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard. He checked on their condition following their successful separation surgery.
The twins were conjoined in the lower chest and abdomen, sharing the liver, bile ducts, and intestines. The separation surgery, which involved twenty-seven doctors and specialists, as well as technicians and nursing staff, lasted approximately 11 hours and was implemented in six surgical phases.
On behalf of the medical team, Al Rabeeah expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their support and follow-up on the Saudi program for the separation of conjoined twins.
