HM King receives Tatarstan President

Manama, Mar. 2 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received HE Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, who is on a visit to the kingdom to attend the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024.

HM the King welcomed the kingdom’s distinguished guest, expressing thanks to him for visiting Bahrain to attend the international sporting event.

HM King Hamad and President Rustam Minnikhanov reviewed relations between Bahrain and the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, in addition to areas of bilateral cooperation across various vital fields, including the economic and investment ones, to serve common interests.

His Majesty affirmed the kingdom’s keenness to extend bridges of cooperation and strengthen its friendship ties with the Russian Republic of Tatarstan to meet the aspirations of the two countries’ leaderships and serve the interests of their friendly peoples.

HM the King and President Rustam Minnikhanov reviewed several issues of mutual interest, including the important role played by international sporting events in consolidating communication and coexistence among peoples, which would deepen their friendship and enhance rapprochement among cultures.  

President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, praising the royal interest in developing relations with his country.

He also commended the development process witnessed by Bahrain, under HM the King’s leadership, in all fields, wishing the Bahraini people continued progress and prosperity.
