Foreign Minister Participates in Meetings on Somalia Support, Turkish Intervention

Cairo, March 06, 2024, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated on Wednesday in a meeting of the Ministerial Working Group on supporting the Federal Republic of Somalia in confronting aggression on its sovereignty and territorial integrity, chaired by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Ali Mohamed Omar. Prince Faisal also participated in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee concerned with following up on Turkish interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, on the sidelines of the 161st session of the Council of the Arab League (AL) at the ministerial level at the AL's headquarters in Cairo.
The Arab Ministerial Committee and the Ministerial Working Group discussed the importance of strengthening Arab coordination on issues of common concern and respecting the sovereignty of member states in accordance with international laws and conventions, as well as the latest regional and international developments and the efforts made in this regard.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
