HM King, HRH Princess Sabeeka exchange cables on silver jubilee of HM's Accession

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the silver jubilee of His Majesty’s Accession.

HRH Princess Sabeeka recalled the greatest moments in the modern history of Bahrain, when the vision of HM the King synergised with the will of the people of Bahrain, to mobilise the efforts and build a prosperous and stable nation which continues to attain more accomplishments.

Her Royal Highness said that the comprehensive development process, led by HM the King, has charted a clear path towards further advancement.

This has led to developments in scientific, political, economic, social and cultural domains and consolidating the values of coexistence, tolerance, justice and development, Her Royal Highness added.

HRH Princess Sabeeka underlined the pivotal role of the support of His Majesty for the mandate of the SCW, which led to the advancement of the status of Bahraini women and their empowerment to become effective partners and contributors to national development.

HRH asserted that the SCW will remain committed to implementing His Majesty’s aspirations for developing the role of women and incorporating their needs in all tracks of national development.

HRH highlighted the work conducted by the SCW to oversee the progress of Bahraini women, protecting their rights by applying the principle of equal opportunities and maintaining gender balance, as well as launching initiatives to boost women’s contributions in all fields, as stipulated by the constitution.

His Majesty the King sent a reply cable of thanks to HRH Princess Sabeeka.

His Majesty recalled the overwhelming support of the people of Bahrain for the National Action Charter, which laid the foundation for the comprehensive development process and its numerous achievements.

His Majesty commended the role of HRH Princess Sabeeka as President of the SCW in consolidating the status of Bahraini women, who have achieved full civil and political rights and are key players in shaping Bahrain's future.
